Abstract:

Feasibility of using static mixers as primary gas distributor instead of common gas spargers was studied. Gas hold-up resulting from the use of mixers with different constructive features in water and glycerin was determined. By studying the influence of different parameters on their performance optimum design of the mixers could be found.
